Theory 29: If the Soul, This Master Key, Were Known and Made Accessible, Death Would Cease to Exist and the Order of the Cosmos Would Fall Into Chaos

The idea that if the soul were known and made controllable, death would disappear and the order of existence would collapse into chaos, is both fascinating and profound.

1. The philosophical view: the soul and death
Philosophers such as Plato and Descartes regarded the soul as an immaterial, eternal substance separate from the body. If the soul could be controlled, death in the traditional sense might disappear, but this would carry major consequences: immortality, since humans could live indefinitely, and the meaning of life, since death is what gives life its meaning, and without it concepts such as love, sacrifice, and purpose might lose their significance. Death is also part of the natural cycle that helps maintain balance within ecosystems; removing it could lead to overpopulation and resource scarcity.

2. The religious view: the soul and divine decree
In the Abrahamic religions, the soul is a divine gift, and only God has authority over it. The Quran states that God takes souls at the moment of their death (39:42), indicating that control over the soul and death does not belong to human beings. Death is part of the divine plan for testing humanity and transferring them to the hereafter.

3. The scientific view: the limits of knowledge and ethics
Modern science has not yet been able to define the nature of the soul, and even if it were understood one day, controlling it could raise enormous ethical challenges: who would have the right to eternal life, and would access to such technology be equal for everyone? Death is also part of evolution; removing it could halt evolution and destroy biodiversity.

4. Conclusion: why would understanding the soul lead to chaos?
It would disrupt the natural order that maintains ecological balance, create ethical and social challenges through inequality and conflict, and affect the meaning of life, since death gives life its meaning.

A final note: as Viktor Frankl put it, in essence, if life were eternal, we could never truly grasp its meaning. Perhaps, then, the soul and death remaining unknown is not a weakness, but a form of wisdom that gives life its meaning and preserves the balance of the world.
